Summer Schedule Starts After Memorial Day

Our summer schedule begins soon. We’ll be closed on Memorial Day, May 27th, and starting the next day our hours will be:

Mon 10-5
Tue 10-5
Wed 10-5
Thu 10-7
Fri 10-5
Sat 10-5
Sun 12-4

Also, the Wednesday morning clinic will go on its summer hiatus. Our regular schedule will resume after Labor Day, September 2nd.

YARNVenture 2013 Set for June 14 & 15

Join us for YARNventure 2013, June 14th-15th. It’s the only Southern Minnesota yarn shop hop and a great opportunity to check out five different shops in the region, register for prizes, collect goodie bags, and generally indulge in some fiber-y fun! Here is a YARNventure Map to help you plan your route and a Punch-Card for your to print out and bring along on the hop. You can also pick up a punch-card at the first shop you visit during YARNventure.

Finishing Frenzy Party Friday May 3rd

We will be hosting a party at the shop on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. to celebrate the completion of our Spring Finishing Frenzy. Bring completed items for show and tell, and prizes will be awarded to those who succeeded in meeting their goal. But remember: even if you didn’t finish everything on your list, you’re still encouraged to come to the party and join in the fun!

Spring Finishing Frenzy Starts Friday — Are You In?

Our Spring Finishing Frenzy runs from Friday, March 15th to Tuesday April 30th. It’s a fun way to motivate yourself to finish some of your current projects (so that you can start new ones, of course!). To enter, all you have to do is fill out a short entry form at the shop or fill out our Finishing Frenzy Form. You decide what project(s) you will finish by midnight April 30th. The only rule is that the projects have to be in progress as of March 15th. At the end of the Frenzy all the participants are invited to a party at the shop where we can show off our newly finished items and everyone who met their goal will receive a reward. (The party date and time will be posted at a later date.) We hope you’ll join us in the Frenzy!

Northfield Yarn will be closed for inventory on Sunday and Monday, February 17th and 18th. We will resume our normal hours at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday February 19th.

Still Room in Cable Class Tuesday January 29th

There is still room in the Cable Skills Class that Cynthia is teaching through Community Ed. It is Tuesday January 29th from 7-8:30 p.m. at the shop. You can sign up online through the Community Ed website or by calling 507-664-3649. This 90-minute class will teach you everything you need to know about knitting cables, one of knitting’s most beautiful creations.
