Seven Sisters Top Knitalong with Northfield Yarn and Blue Sky Fibers

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with Minnesota yarn company Blue Sky Fibers on their 2020 Spring/Summer Sweater KAL, which runs from April 1 - June 30. The featured pattern is the brand-new Seven Sisters Top, using Printed Organic Cotton (Worsted). In this KAL, which is great for adventurous beginners, participants will knit a sweater in the round and then finish the back and front separately, joining their work at the shoulders. The result is a top perfect for the coming warmer months.

Interested in joining the KAL?

Register on the Northfield Yarn events page, and we will send you a FREE download code for the Seven Sisters Top pattern that can be used starting April 1. You will need 4 - 6 hanks of Printed Organic Cotton.

NOTE: If you wish to order any of the supplies for the KAL, please order your yarn or call the shop (507-645-1330) before 4:00 pm on Friday, March 27th. Due to the MN Stay-at-Home order that is in effect during the COVID-19 crisis, there will be no staff in the shop to process orders between March 28th - April 11th. You can still register for the KAL at any time, and we hope to be able to ship again after April 11th.

Stay Connected

Shortly, we will start hosting our weekly Thursday and Saturday Open Stitch sessions on Zoom. We are exploring the possibility of hosting a separate weekly Zoom gathering for Seven Sisters KAL participants, too! Northfield Yarn staff member Brianna will be knitting the sweater along with you and joining you online. If you register for the KAL on the Northfield Yarn events page, we will send you links to join our virtual knitalongs each week.

Grand Prize from Blue Sky Fibers!

The Friends of Blue Sky Fibers Ravelry page will be the nationwide home base for the KAL. Feel free to post comments, questions and progress pictures there. If you post an image of your final piece on Ravelry or any of Blue Sky Fibers social sites (tag them so they see it!), you will be entered to win the grand prize: yarn in the color of your choice and pattern for BSF’s summer KAL, a sweater in Organic Cotton (Skinny).
