Crochet African Flower Motif: Hippy Hearts: 3 Tuesdays (2/7, 2/14, 2/21), 5:00 - 6:30pm
Instructor: Rachel Burkell
Dates: 3 Tuesdays (2/7, 2/14, 2/21), 5:00 - 6:30pm
The adorable crocheted pony Fatty Lumpkin has been a fixture in our shop for many years, and we often receive requests for a class on the techniques used to make this huggable stuffie.
This class will focus on the African Flower motif used to create Fatty Lumpkin and many other patterns by designer Heidi Bears. We will be using the motif to create Heidi’s small Hippy Heart. It will require the pattern for both hexagonal and pentagonal African Flowers. We will work with some basic stitches to create beautiful parts of a whole. You MUST be comfortable to join as you go, and as such we will practice this a lot in class and for homework. This class is for the adventurous, but skilled, beginner, who wants to add variety to their skill set and portfolio.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner. Must have ability to single crochet, double crochet, join yarn, chain stitch and slip stitch.
Supplies to bring to class:
