Egyptians are credited with creating some of the first blue pigments. So with that in mind, Wonderland Yarns took the watery teal from their vintage postcard and added blue. To keep the colorway interesting — but not busy — they scantily speckled it with the background colors of the postcard: rust and a rich, dark pink.
The accompanying pattern is a top-down shawl that uses a simple lacy stitch pattern. It looks more complicated than it is and works up quickly with just one skein.⠀It is written not written for sport-weight, but it is flexible enough that we feel confident it will work with Mad Hatter (but you may not have enough yarn for the tassels).
The kit includes:
The "Start Stitch Shawlette" pattern.
One 4-oz skein of Mad Hatter in the month's exclusive colorway, "Egypt."
A postcard for the month's featured destination with unique and interesting facts about the location.
