Learn to knit with the Building Blocks pattern series from Kelbourne Woolens! Building Blocks: Scarves includes three variations on the same pattern: a simple garter stitch scarf, a ribbed and striped scarf, and a cabled scarf. In January, we’ll start with the garter stitch version of the scarf – perfect for new and beginning knitters. Class participants will be expected to work on the scarf independently between class sessions.
February 4: Learn to cast on (start a project) and form a knit stitch.
February 11: Check-in; fixing mistakes.
February 18: Check-in; making pattern modifications.
February 25: Binding off (finishing a project), weaving in ends, and blocking.
Skill Level: Beginner. This class assumes no previous knitting experience.
