Online Help & Private Lessons
Whether you are an absolute beginner who would like to learn how to knit or crochet, or you want help learning a new stitch, reading a pattern, or adding new skills to your knit or crochet toolbox, you can schedule time with one of our instructors for an Online Help Session or Private Lesson in our Zoom Classroom! ** (See note below about Zoom)
20-Minute Help Session or a 1-Hour Private Lesson?
20-Minute Online Help Sessions are available for $5/session. These short Help Sessions are for those who have already mastered basic skills in knitting or crochet. If you are a beginner, please schedule a 1-hr session.
Choose the option for an Online 20-minute Help Session if you:
- Need help determining whether a project is appropriate for your skill level. (No time will be spent on instruction, other than reviewing a pattern to determine stitches used and needed supplies.)
- Are currently working on a project and would like some help understanding pattern instructions. (Brief instruction may be given to learn a new stitch or review the directions given in your pattern.)
If it appears that the Help Session will run over the 20-minute time block, the instructor will offer the option to schedule another block of time.
1-Hour Online Private Lessons are available in 1-hr blocks of time for $10/hr. This is special COVID-19 pricing! Choose a 1-hour Lesson if you fall into one of the following categories, or just feel you'd need / want a full hour for help:
- I have never knit or crocheted before, but I would like to learn.
- It has been a long time since I knit or crocheted. I need to review basic stitches and/or how to read pattern instructions
- I am comfortable with basic stitches, but I would like to learn a new knit or crochet technique (e.g. colorwork, Tunisian crochet, knit or crochet in-the-round, etc.)
If it appears that the Lesson will run over the 1-hr time block, the instructor offer the option to schedule another block of time.
