Burtonport is meant to be worn with plenty of positive ease for a comfortable fit, perfect for layering. It is knit in pieces and seamed, and the neck band is picked up and knit afterwards. This is an easy to knit pattern, perfect for a first sweater. Designed by Courtney Kelley.

SPECIFICATIONS
YARN:
 The Fibre Co. Arranmore (80% merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% silk; 175 yds/100 gm skein): Brannagh, 6 (7, 8) skeins.
GAUGE: 15 sts + 24 rows = 4” (10 cm) in seed stitch on larger needles, after blocking. 17 sts + 28 rows = 4" (10 cm) in K2,P2 Ribbing on smaller needles, after blocking.
NEEDLES:
1 – US 7 (4.5 mm) 24" (60 cm) circular or pair straights.
1 – US 7 (4.5 mm) 16" (40 cm) circular.
1 - US 8 (5.0 mm) 24" (60 cm) circular or pair straights.
NOTIONS: Locking stitch markers, tapestry needle, stitch holders or waste yarn.
SIZE: 44.75 (50.25, 59.75)" [113.75, (127.25, 151.75) cm] finished bust. Sweater is designed to be worn with 6-10" (15-25 cm) positive ease. Please see schematic for more detailed finished measurements.
