SweetGeorgia has announced theLaurel Mists shawl for the2020 SweetGeorgiaMystery Knit-a-Long (MKAL) that is taking place in September, as a part of their 15th Anniversary celebration!Cast-on will happen on September 1st, clues will drop each week throughout the month, and the shawl, designed by Tabetha Hedrick, is worked with three colors of fingering-weight yarn.

Two skeins ofCashLuxe Spark. You receive one skein each for your MC and CC2; 420 yd (384 m) / 115 g (4 oz) perskein. Fiber content: 80% Superwash Merino, 10%Cashmere, 10% Silver Stellina
The total yardage used is 1264 yards of fingering weight yarn. The finished measurements are: Wingspan = 63" (160 cm) and Center Length = 37" (94 cm).The SweetGeorgia sample (which we don't have a picture of yet) uses the Grotto Falls set of colors.

Skill Level: Intermediate Knitters will be using these techniques: knit, purl, yarn over k2tog, ask, central decrease, working flat, slipped stitch, changing colors, measuring gauge, and following a pattern with changing stitch counts.
Needles & Notions Size 6 US / 4 mm circular needle, 32” / 80 cm long. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge. 16 stitch markers, yarn needle
Pattern Gauge: (Swatching patterns will be released on August 18.) 19 sts and 35 rows = 4” (10 cm) in the Ridge pattern after blocking, usingeither MC or CC2. Please note that if you use the MC for swatching the Ridge pattern, you may need to unravel about half of it to finish the shawl. 25 sts and 33 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette Stitch after blocking, usingCC2.
