Learn to Knit Mittens

Dates: Two Sundays, December 5 & 12, 2:00-3:30pm
In this class, you will learn to knit a pair of mittens in the size of your choice (Toddler – Large Adult). We will discuss the best yarns to choose for warmth and durability. You will learn to measure your stitch gauge, follow a pattern, and execute right-leaning and left-leaning increases and decreases like a pro. There’s no better way to warm the hands and hearts of those you love than to give them the gift of handknit mittens. Winter is coming, so sign up today!
Skill Level: Advanced beginner. Students must know how to cast-on, knit, and purl.
Supplies to bring to class:
(registered students receive 10% off class supply purchases, excluding patterns)
- 90-200 yds worsted weight wool yarn (preferably non-superwash, Lett Lopi works well)
- One set each of US 5 & 7 ouble pointed bamboo needles, five needles per set
- Measuring Tape
- Stitch Marker
- Blunt Tipped Tapestry Needle
