We are excited to offer the Sweetgeorgia sock yarn that we all love, now in a gradient! A"sock blank" is a machine-knit stockinette tube that allows the hues to flow from one shade to another seamlessly throughout your project.
This colorway, Lighthouse, is extra special because it is a double sock blank. It's been knit with two strands held together, providing two identically dyed strands for making two identical socks. Or consider some of these other ideas for using a double sock blank:
Work with both strands held together for a heavier-weight project (DK or worsted, depending on your gauge).
Create two identical mittens, mitts, or hats.
Wind both strands into balls and work your project from pink-to-orange and then orange-to-pink (or vice versa) for a striking gradient.
The yarn comes in the "blank" form, not caked or wound. To work, pull one end from the tube to unravel. You can work straight from the tube or wind it into a ball. Knitting or crocheting from a sock blank is "crinkly," but the crinkles block out perfectly for a smooth, beautiful finish, ensuring you have a magical color-changing effect. To see how easy a sock blank is to use, watch Sweetgeorgia's video at this link.
