Needle Felted Gnome: Saturday December 11, 2:30-4:30pm via Zoom
Needle Felted Gnome
Date: Saturday, December 11, 2:30-4:30pm via Zoom
Create a cute Gnome that can bring good luck to your holiday table or tree!
This two-hour class will be taught entirely online using the Zoom platform. You will learn needle-felting techniques while following along with the instructor to create your own little Gnome. We will talk about the fibers used for needle-felting, how to properly and safely use the needle, and what else you might do to add decorations to your Gnome. Once you have made your first Gnome, we predict you will go on to make entire families of Gnomes for holiday gift-giving.
Gnomes are found in the folklore of many countries under different names (Tomte, Nissa, Hob, etc.). They have been characterized as everything from pesky, troublesome imps to the bringers of fortune and good luck who ask for nothing in return for their service. We hope our little wool Gnomes will embody more of the latter!
Skill Level: Beginner/no previous experience necessary. NOTE: this class involves the use of a very sharp felting needle. We recommend that children under the age of 12 do not take this class unless under adult supervision.
This class takes place via Zoom. Zoom software must be installed and working on your computer, phone, or tablet before the class begins. For Zoom downloads and support, please visit the Zoom support FAQ at https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206175806
