Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best. Did you know you could create a beautifully draping poncho with just two rectangular crochet panels? Rebecca Dagmar’s Good Vibrations Throwover is a dreamy light layer for summer with the most straightforward construction. It’s a decidedly modern design but with a distinct 1970s flavour, and the pretty shell stitch pattern is highlighted with eyelet details at the sleeve edges.

The poncho is made from two rectangles, worked from the centre out to the sleeve edge. The panels are seamed together at the centre front and back of the poncho, then folded in half and partially seamed along the bottom to create the sleeves.
